Evaluation
Why Evaluation?
The proof of the pudding is in the eating. We ask real users to work with your product, prototype or mockup and use their feedback to make your product better. It’s that simple.
Human Interface Group can evaluate your product in the following ways:
Expert evaluations
We optimize your technology so that it is as user-friendly as possible. An expert evaluation, in which we thoroughly examine your product, is often the first step in this process. The earlier this happens, the more cost-effective it is. Many user-friendliness problems can be detected and resolved before the system is tested by end users. But of course, "better late than never" applies to improvements to your product too. For instance, an expert evaluation can be carried out as part of a new release.
Usability tests
Human Interface Group submits your application to the end users. During a usability test, your application or product is not tested by our experts but by real end users. User tests can be performed on a finished product, but it is better to test as early in the course of development as possible, for example by using a software mockup or prototype.
We have conducted usability tests in every corner of the world and have an expensive network of recruiters, interpreters and facilities.
We are experienced in the latest test methods: remote testing, eye tracking, mobile testing. We deliver whatever you need: from highlight movies to fully documented films.
Cross-platform tests
However user-friendly a web site is, if not all users in your target group can view it, fantastic usability is worthless. Human Interface Group prepares a test matrix for browsers and operating systems. We also specify additional test conditions: use of Javascript, broadband, plug-ins etc. You will be given a full analysis of the bottlenecks so you know where you stand with your site.
Accessibility tests
A good web site must also be accessible to users with a disability. This is not a question of marketing but of respect. Human Interface Group uses an additional accessibility test to evaluate your web site according to the internationally recognized W3C 'Accessibility guidelines', the 'Any Surfer guidelines' or both. The accessibility report clearly describes the bottlenecks and contains recommendations for improving the accessibility of your web site.
