The first UPA Europe Conference was held from 4 to 6 December 2008 in Turin. It was organised by the various European departments of the Usability Professionals' Association.

Project Manager Lore Nuyens made an extraordinary presentation at the conference on her experiences in projects for fifthplay and Philips. Lore:

"As part of 'Usability and Design: Cultivating Diversity' I shared my experiences as a Usability Expert with fifthplay, the Philips Pronto and the ProntoEdit Professional. Practice tells us so much more than theory!

I personally also learnt a lot from other European projects. Usability is a very dynamic and extremely driven field and international conferences such as this one are an excellent platform to share experiences and gain new insights".
