CMS solutions are suggested more and more often as an alternative to data management. On 4 December, the CM Innovation and CMS Awards were held at the Brussels Airport Sky Hall. Human Interface Group was very clearly present. We handed out cava, Lavazza and usability experts.

Fantastic technology, but do you know your end users?

Whether you are dealing with a business intranet, e-commerce or collaborative sites... Content Management Systems are becoming more and more important for all companies and organisations. "This is all fantastic technology," Human Interface expert Tine Peeters agreed, "but do you also pay enough attention to the audience you are building these systems for?" Tine asked this question to the participants of her much appreciated workshop at the annual CM Innovation Conference at the Brussels Airport Sky Hall.

Usability is clearly a big issue in many companies. Human Interface Group's integrated approach was able to convince the many visitors of its stand: examining existing systems, making a user overview, designing information architecture, developing usable scale models, graphic design and user testing. A unique approach that really works, with many strong cases and reference to prove it.

The original competition to Win a usability expert for one day! attracted many visitors to the stand. About 40 justified Usability Expert applications were received. Rob Woestenborghs from G4S was selected as the winner. Soon G4S will be able to draw on the knowledge and expertise of a Human Interface specialist.
