Kris Vanstappen and Christel Dehaes founded Human Interface Group in 1992. Johan Verhaegen joined them as managing partner in 2006. The three of them manage a highly qualified management team of project managers and sales & marketing staff. Together, they are the driving force of Human Interface Group, Europe's leading software usability consultancy that currently consists of more than 40 top-notch experts.

Being the primary usability consultancy in Europe, Human Interface Group takes a leading role in the main special interest groups on usability in the Benelux. Kris Vanstappen is President of the Usability Professionals' Association for the Benelux, Christel Dehaes is the former President of the Society for Technical Communication (website STC Belgium) and Johan Verhaegen is President of the Belgian Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (website SIGCHI.be).
