Erwin graduated as a communication scientist at the University of Leuven. He specialized in the social aspects of communication technology, such as the introduction of ICT in primary schools. After a one-year training in Business Communication, Erwin joined Human Interface Group. Most of his spare time is spent on stage with Kindertheater Droommolen and at home when renovating the house with his wife Veerle.

His favorite authors are Pablo Neruda and Gabriel Garcia Márquez, but please don’t ask which was the last book he read.

Expertise

Erwin gained his usability expertise in various industries, such as transportation, temp work, financial and pharmaceutical business.

For large multinationals - such as Janssen Pharmaceutica - he managed the usability services for a multitude of applications: designing user interfaces (from web application to touch screen interface), maintaining user documentation, developing training material (classroom and computer-based training) and writing business procedures and corporate newsletters.

As lector of the open course Designing User Interfaces and the Usability Certification Program, he is willing to share his expertise with the world.
